Hello everyone!!!
Guess what?! TONY got baptized!!! I literally felt like we were
pulling teeth and fighting Satan at every moment. But he was confirmed
as a church and received the Holy Ghost yesterday. How grateful I am
that we are on the winning side and that Tony is bent on doing the
Lord's will. Seemingly impossible odds were against us. It was a sweet
and tender experience. And, for the third time, I was asked play the
piano for the baptism. How grateful that Heavenly Father qualifies those
that He calls! I don't mind performing other instruments, but I really
don't like playing piano in public.
Thank you Mom so much for that picture of the family at the falls. I
can't believe how much Jameson has grown!!! That is the first picture
that I have seen of him on my mission other than our family pictures we
took before I left. It's crazy to see how much he's changed after not
seeing him for a year. I haven't seen an updated picture of Eli either
(I think...) I sure bracing myself for that one!! By the way, I would
like that for my birthday present. If I could get pictures of the family
in everyday life and at least one of each person and a note from them, I
would love that. I just love you so stinkn' much!!! Besides that, my
wish list is stamps and a GPS would be really nice. I don't know what is
going on with technology prices right now in the outside world and how
much it'd cost, so if it's too expensive don't worry about it. My comp
and I are having a blast getting lost anyway. :D
I know I've sent out a couple letters/emails about this, but I'd
reaalllyyyy like to have the other memory cards back that I sent home
from here. I sent them back in June, so hopefully they're findable. I so
much appreciate that you do take care of the things that I can't do
myself, and that you clear them up so that I can take more pictures. It
means alot to me, so thank you. Thank you thank you thank you!!!! It'd
be great if I could get them ASAP, because I have been having to delete
pictures from my card in order to take new ones, which is sad because I
really don't want to!
We have had a blast in working hard. Sister Allred's birthday is Nov 18, 8 days after mine, and 2 after my year mark day. WEIRD!!!!! Not sure how thrilled I am about it, and it stinks because I keep having dreams about it. :P
I love you all. Time is short, so I will say the most important
words I can. I love you. I know that Christ lives. I know that He died
for us and lives for us today. I know that through Him we can gain
fullfillment in life and true and lasting happiness in the life to come.
I know that this church is the restored original christian church. I
know that Thomas Monson is the prophet ordained to lead us today. I know
that this gospel can bring us happiness not to come any other way. How
important it is for us to share it with others so that they may taste of
the happiness we share!!
Love you all,
Sister Lake
P.S. Mom, I started my second to last pair of contacts today. I'll be good for about 4-6 months I think, but want to give you a head's up I'll need more please when you have time. :D I LOVE you!
