Hello my friends!
This week has been one of alot of hard work. I'm so glad that Heavenly Father is always there for us to help us.
I think perhaps the biggest news is Juan. We did have a miracle breakthrough that we talked about last with Juan. But the expected happened. Satan has attacked him again and again, and this time, it came in the form of anti-mormon materials. A man came and told him all of these horrible half-truths. He is now questioning everything we have taught him. We have been doing our best of being there for him, and helping him understand. But it's hard because he's not as trusting as before. He wants to be argumentative, and he feels that he needs to constantly tell us that he holds the Bible to be the word of God and that Jesus has been there for him through everything and that he puts him first. Please keep him in your prayers.
Announcing duties have kept us busy. We're doing our best to get
ready for conference! And everything else in between of course.
I got to talk to Mom on the phone this morning, and she told me of
Alyssa Isom's passing. It was very sad to hear, but I have had comfort.
For those that don't know, the Isom family are very close friends, and
we love them dearly. Please keep them in your prayers. Before you pray
for me, for I know you do, please pray for them. I love them and I wish I
could be there, but I'll just have to work hard here and the Lord will
bless them for my efforts.
I love you all. I have no doubt that Heavenly Father's plan is for
us to be with our families in the hereafter. I know that He has provided
a way, and that is through His holy house, the temple. I know that our
Savior lives, and that He died for us so that we may live again.
I love you all,
Sister Lake
