Week #36

Hello everyone!

This email is going to be short, I spent time IMing with Hill and writing some other emails. Life is good. Life is busy...but it has been slowing down! It was strange, but I think it was God's design, both Sister Chen and I were sick this week. Illness is treated lightly here on this mission, we can be puking and have a fever and still are not allowed to go home; the attitude is drug up and get back to work! But that means alot gets done! So we may or may not have walking around like mummies with our tissues and zonked on cold medicine, but we are almost better.

e have seen miracles this week.Thank you for your prayers! We still have the meanie people in every walking lesson/tour, but we have had one that didn't! We responded to a request for a mandarin tour and met this lady from China, her English name is Daisy. We taught her about...everything! It was an unusual tour, we talked for a total of almost 2.5 hours! She had just come to the belief (as in weeks ago) that there is a God and in Christianity. She had alot of questions, and her English was good enough that I could talk freely. Then we went to the Beehive House because it was time for our assignment, and she came with us. We had two more add to the group, a couple attending school here in the U.S. They referred to meet with missionaries! We're going to start teaching them as well. Thank you for your prayers.

Vadim, the ex-minister has decided to be agnostic. He doesn't believe in feelings, just in facts. It's been hard to teach him, and I'm not sure we'll continue much longer, I think he needs time. It sounds like the local missionaries have dropped him.

Jansen is still struggling with The Book of Mormon, she hasn't answered our calls or texts in the last few days, so dont know what's happening.

Josh texted back! He's going out of town and wants us to contact him later, he wants to talk! Hopefully it's good.

Mario still has not responded, we're still trying.

Juan is a miracle I had! I met him on the square, and he said that he just had to touch the temple, didn't know why, but that he felt like he had been drawn here like a magnet. He hasn't answered my calls, but I finally got a hold of him! He's met with local missionaries twice and went to church once. He's going again, and we tried to call today but he was running out the door. He really wants to talk to us though.

We are having so many wonderful things happen. I wish I had time to tell you everything about each person we are teaching. But that'll have to wait till the hereafter. :D I know that God knows each individual. I know that He loves us and knows His children by name and wants us to come closer to Him.

Love Always,
Sister Lake

NOTE: Ally Isom (Mom's dear friend) went on a tour at Temple Square this week where Eden was the guide!! Luckily, she got some pictures :)
